Upon its release it has sold worldwide quicker than a Usain Bolt PB. Well as you are probably aware it has a baby brother, the MT09, now don't get me wrong, I know full well how much of a beast the MT10 is, I mean any bike based on the YZF-R1 without having a fairing is a pretty ludacris thought. That is why this review is on the MT09, I feel as if the hype for the MT10 may have towered over the 09 and had it over looked! This article is based on the new model to be released in 2017. The 3 cylinder 847cc cross plane power plant, which is fully EU4 compliant packs a punch of 114hp weighing in at 193KG wet. . . . Thats enough to get any potential rider excited. But not only have Yamaha got the power plant right, the 2017 model has several other features in which a mechanical nerds under garments twitch. Fully adjustable forks: compression damping in the right leg and rebound in the left. Quick shifter and an A&S clutch as standard. TCS and ABS with 3 driving modes. They have toyed with the centre of gravity and the chassis too improve the handling tenfold. The bike looks stunning, it ticks all the right boxes in my eyes, the only thing that isn't our cup of tea is the swing arm mounted license plate, but hey, they had to leave something for the purchasers to improve! We at 1DOWN5UP are very excited about the release of this bike, perhaps a test ride is in order, for the followers of course.
